FW: Jamie's 7 week milestones

Jamie's 7 weeks old already! Time flies when you don't sleep:)

Here are some milestones from this past week:

12 pounds (8 2 at birth); 23.5 inches (20.5 at birth); 38 cm head
circumference (34.5 at birth) - she is in the 95th percentile for her
age for height and weight. You go girl! She got her first set of shots
today - 4 of them in her thunder thighs! DPT, Polio and 2 for
meningitis - she was a trooper - 99.1 temp so far (99+ is considered
fever in infants) - not bad though! She slept lots - maybe we should get
a few more shots - placebo ones!
She can/should be drinking between 4 and 6 oz of milk each feeding now -
big girl! She sometimes teases us and drinks only 2, but she can pack
away more too. She can hold her head up and swivel it much better now,
except when she is tired when it still comes crashing down on our
collarbones. She is much more aware of her own limbs now too. She can
recognize us and our voices and she smiles in response to us instead of
her gas!:) She also finds her thumb for a few seconds each day usually
to pacify herself - thank goodness! She is leaving for her first trip to
Hawaii Saturday - more of an update after we return!
